What we collect, and where from

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use business contact details to introduce our services to accounting practices, to follow up, and to reply to you. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: telling businesses about a service relevant to their work. We send unsolicited email only to limited companies and LLPs, at business addresses published by the firm.

If you become a client, we use your details to deliver the contract. We sign a separate data processing agreement for any client data we handle on your behalf.

Your right to object to marketing

You can object to our marketing at any time, and we must then stop. Reply "no thanks" to any email, or tell us on LinkedIn, and we will not contact you again. We keep a short record of your details so that we can honour that.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. These providers handle it:

We make no decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.

International transfers

We run the business from Pakistan, so your details are held and used there. UK adequacy regulations do not cover Pakistan, and it may not offer the same legal protection as the UK. Some providers process data in the United States and elsewhere. Email us for details of where each provider processes data and of any safeguard that applies, including a copy of it.

How long we keep it

We delete prospect details within 24 months of our last contact, unless you become a client. Copies in backups and providers' logs go when those expire. Do-not-contact records are kept for as long as we need them to avoid contacting you again. Client records are kept for as long as the law and the contract require.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to its use, and ask for a portable copy. Email us and we will reply within one month.

If you think we have got something wrong with your data, you can complain to us by email or by post at the address above. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it, and tell you the outcome without undue delay. You can also complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commission (still known as the ICO), at ico.org.uk.
